Welcome to the forum! Firstly, allow me to introduce myself.
I am Aetaris, citizen of the Renegade Islands Alliance on NationStates (renegadeislands.proboards.com). I'm making a forum in the hopes that it might become a thriving social community and because whenever I see anything awesome (RIA forums) I have to replicate it. Because I'm strange.
There are four nations you may join on this forum. Each has a different personality. Since my forum is... ah... not very highly-populated at the moment, there's barely anyone in any of them. But that's good because it means you can be among the first and decide what each nation will be like! This is the perfect time to join!
Dinosaur Lords is a special nation that is, so far, purely forum staff. Babylatia's apparently making a forum-wide clue network on how to join Dinosaur Lords.
I'd like to mention I will be shamelessly copying a lot of things from the RIA forums. Understand that (a) there are huge amounts of shame in my doing this and that (b) I'm doing it because the RIA forum is so awesome. My forum will probably never compare with it
There are a couple of things I have here so far. I have the setup for a Werewolf game going in the House of War, the House of Aetaris as basically the equivalent of the Lounge, and the House of Haduros as discussion and opinion threads. I'll probably start up some thingies in there soon
Oh, that brings me to another thing. This whole forum probably feels very self-centered on Aetaris. Um. I didn't mean for it to be like that. Understand I will not, never never never be turning this into an Aetaris-worshipping place. Because that would be pathetic and it also wouldn't work. I'm not going to give myself absolute, total power over the forum, not going to make myself a dictator... that would be wrong. I'm only going to use my admin powers enough to prevent ridiculously large amounts of spam and help out when a nation or someone needs help.
Finally, to any RIA people who have been lured to this thread: I would like to say a few things. Firstly, I will not be abandoning the RIA forums. I'll still go there just as often and spam just as much.
Additionally, you can feel free to join or not join this forum as you wish. I won't be offended. I might be a tiny bit sad if you don't join, but I'll completely understand. And lastly, this is not a mockery of the RIA forums. I... don't really know what this is. It might be my attempt to make one with me as the leader, but I'll try to avoid that. A thing about me is that I like controlling things... I like level editors, sandbox modes, editors, and other things where I have total control. But I don't mean control in a bad way; I mean things like designing the way the forum works and stuff.
If I'm coming across as a complete jerk, I'm sorry about that. I just don't want anyone to feel offended. It's not at all that I think the RIA forums aren't enough for me... it's almost the opposite.
